About

I am a PhD student in Computer Science at The University of Texas at Arlington, focusing on machine learning, natural language processing, and animal computational linguistics. My supervisor is Dr. Kenny Zhu, who leads our research lab, the Arlington Computational Linguistics Lab (ACL^2). Previously, I earned my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Data Science from Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois.
I am a graduate mentor for the NSF Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program: Animal Language Processing and Understanding. I also work as a web developer for the CSE department at UT Arlington, responsible for developing and maintaining our department’s internal web applications.

Timeline

2024- Phd in Computer Science at The University of Texas at Arlington, with a focus in Artificial Intelligence.
2019-2024 BSc at Knox College (Galesburg, Illinois) with a double major in Computer Science and Data Science.
Along the way, I was a Teaching Assistant and Tutor in Computer Science and Math for 4 years.
I also did two internships as a Data Scientist Intern at The Home Depot (Summer 2022) and Software Engineer Intern at Centene Corporation (Summer 2023).
